What’s included

The registry tracks publicly reported mergers, acquisitions, and selected strategic stake transactions with relevance to Iceland.

Source policy (primary and secondary)

Each record aims to include at least one primary source such as company statements, stock exchange notices, or regulatory filings. Media reports may be used as secondary context.

Status definitions

• Rumoured: market or media claims without confirmed signing.
• Pending: announced or signed transaction awaiting completion.
• Completed: transaction legally completed.
• Cancelled: announced transaction no longer proceeding.

Valuation policy

Enterprise value and currency are recorded when disclosed by reliable sources. Missing values indicate non-disclosure or insufficient certainty.

Records are updated as new public information becomes available. Publication timing can vary across transactions and sources.
